Gary Petersen played violin for many years with the Amari string quartet and has served on the board of several chamber music groups.  He is semi-retired from the presidency of Ritec Inc. as well as an adjunct physics professor at Brown University.

He is now combining his lifelong love of music and woodworking skills in an effort to produce artistic, creative and utilitarian music stands.  It is hoped that these stands will be appreciated both for their value as works of art and for their usefulness in enhancing the artistic experience of enjoying chamber music.
